Archaeological Resources Management System
The South Dakota State Historical Society Archaeological Research Center, Department of Tourism and State Development, has developed a version of its Archaeological Resources Management System (ARMS) database package for access from the World Wide Web. A variety of access levels is available to users, depending on need. Researchers and government agencies should contact the for further details. The general public can also use the system, although not all data categories are available.
Before using ARMS, users must log in.

What's New
- Changes. Site map will now be printed on the form for in-house users and development parters (1/4/2011).
- Changes. Added 'BLM Minerals' and 'BLM Surface' ownership types, fixed some issues with display of site forms and accession forms (12/30/2010).
- Fees. Full access to the ARMS database is now on a fee basis; visitor access remains unchanged. Prospective users must apply by completing a user agreement, supplying a current résumé, and submitting the relevant fee. More information is available at the Archaeological Research Center web site.
